Welcome to our garden
Visiting our garden
A real plant lover’s paradise
Where is our garden ?
Our home and garden is in St Ouen in the largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey.
It maybe a small garden measuring just over quarter of an acre but it contains many
rare and unusual plants.
Most of the plants are herbaceous perennials from all over the world; all nurtured
in accordance with organic principles. A large bog garden contains a collection of
over 80 water loving Irises and many other plants that relish the damp conditions,
such as Primulas, Lobelias and Trollius.
Other areas of the garden provide the drier conditions loved by plants like Geraniums
and the sun loving Salvias; a large collection includes many tender species from
Central America. Every day of the year there is a Clematis in flower somewhere in
the garden not surprising with over 200 different varieties and species clothing
every available support.
The garden is open to visitors from May to September on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays. Entry is £5 per person.
Tours with Judith, which are informative and fun, at 11am or 2pm must be booked in
advance and cost £8 per person.
Groups, at any time, by arrangement.
PLEASE NOTE that the garden is not child friendly.
Older children are welcome, provided they are closely supervised at all times.
